Aston runs a five-year MBChB in central Birmingham with a strong widening-participation and community focus. It builds a final ranking from your academics, your UCAT and your interview together — and, unusually, it accepts every SJT band without scoring it.
Aston sets no fixed UCAT cut-off; the score needed depends on the strength of each year's applicant pool. Distinctively, while it records your SJT band, it doesn't score the SJT or use it in ranking — so an SJT Band 4 that would sink you elsewhere isn't a problem here. The final offer decision combines your academic qualifications, your UCAT and your interview performance into a single ranking, and the highest-ranked applicants are offered places.
